PDL’s recent Director election for South Australia (with responsibility also for the Northern Territory) has seen Ian Todd elected to the role. In a closely contested ballot, Ian earned the position over fellow candidates Paula Kwan, who previously held the position, and Steve Morris.
Ian has more than 20 years’ experience as a member advocate in South Australia and nationally, including being involved in the negotiation and funding of professional practise extension for all pharmacists over the 4th, 5th and 6th Pharmacy Agreements. In particular, he was involved in establishing the rules and implementation of RMMR, Medschecks, HMRs, scholarships for ATSI students, DAA payments and Clinical Interventions.
PDL Chair, Paul Naismith said “We would like to extend our congratulations to Ian and welcome him to the PDL Board.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Paula for her outstanding work over the past two years. Paula has been a valuable member of the PDL Board, representing members in SA and NT diligently and contributing strongly as a member of the Board”.
Paul added “Gilbert Yeates’ Queensland Directorship was uncontested, and we are delighted to retain his expertise and insight on the PDL Board of Directors. Gilbert also remains in the role of Deputy Chair”.
