On the topic of controlled drugs, a recent surge in reports to PDL indicates pharmacists dispensing forged prescriptions for controlled drugs as well as some drugs of dependence such as benzodiazepines, Duromine and the S4 codeine containing products.
When presented with a prescription for these categories, extra vigilance and checking should be applied as most forgeries can be difficult to detect.
Familiarise yourself with the regulations in your state concerning the dispensing of drugs of dependence and always check with the purported prescriber if any doubt exists. Be suspicious of prescriptions for these items which are presented after hours and where the consumer is rushing you or acting aggressively.
